Bar Organizations

Strong Partnerships

Oregon’s legal aid programs and the Campaign thank our partner bar organizations for their terrific support! Is your bar group involved? If not, ask them to take action to support statewide legal aid programs in Oregon. Contact CEJ for ideas.

The Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Law Foundation provide additional financial support for Campaign for Equal Justice. Oregon State Bar Sections contributed almost $25,000 to the Campaign in 2012–13. The Oregon State Bar House of Delegates has adopted a resolution calling for adequate funding for legal aid. That resolution can be found here.

Many county and regional bar organizations make financial contributions to the Campaign. In 2012-13, the Multnomah Bar Association contributed $25,000 to assist with funding the Volunteer Lawyers Project in Multnomah County. The Marion County Bar Association has contributed for many years running, along with the Coos County Bar, the Lane County Bar Association and the Jackson County Bar Association, to name a few.

Oregon Women Lawyers and the Oregon Trial Lawyers have generously donated to the Campaign. In 2012–13, OWLS members contributed almost $172,000 to the Campaign; OTLA members contributed almost $98,000.
